Types:  

  • Sintered Iron:  Powered iron compacted and sintered as strong as cast iron.  Concentric, smooth tread reduces noise and floor damage.

  • Cast Iron:  Constructed of cast iron for high capacity and will sustain sharp impacts while under full load.  The smooth face allows easy rolling and long life on concrete.  This wheel should not be used where noise reduction or floor protection is required.

  • Ductile Iron:  Cast from a high tensile ductile iron, with special alloy compounds added to withstand shock loads and the most punishing service.

  • Semi-Steel:  Cast iron toughened with steel scrap.  Use on rough floors, concrete and wood.

  • Forged Steel:  Practically indestructible wheel with very high fatigue and impact resistance.  For use on very abusive conditions.  For continuous running on steel tread plates, use with tapered roller bearings.
